Polyethylene sheets exhibit superior mechanical properties compared to standard high-density polyethylene (HDPE) products. They offer excellent impact resistance and high-temperature performance, making them widely used across various industries.

In general, polyethylene sheets with a density around 1.0 g/cm³ are commonly used in the food and healthcare sectors due to their safety and reliability. However, sheets with a density between 1.15 and 1.35 g/cm³ are primarily applied in materials handling environments, such as sticky silos and coal bunkers, where anti-adhesion properties are crucial.

Polyethylene sheet is a thermoplastic engineering material with a linear molecular structure and outstanding comprehensive performance. Its average molecular weight ranges from 350,000 to 8 million, which gives it exceptional impact resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, and chemical corrosion resistance-far beyond the capabilities of conventional plastics.

In addition, polyethylene sheets maintain excellent low-temperature performance, with high impact strength even at -40°C. The material itself has a density between 0.936 and 0.964 g/cm³, a working thermoplastic temperature below 85°C, and a melting point between 130°C and 140°C.

With ongoing advancements in technology, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) liners are being increasingly adopted in everyday applications.

Thanks to their self-lubricating properties, these liners prevent damage to expensive metal guide rails even in the event of mechanical lubrication failure. Moreover, the coefficient of friction remains stable despite changes in speed, load, or temperature-eliminating the need for manual adjustments or compensation.

Polyethylene sheets are also easy to install. They come with special adhesive soft rubber strips, making the application process even simpler than wallpaper installation.
