Functions Of Coal Bunker Polymer Lining

What is a coal bunker polymer lining?

Coal bunker polymer lining is a wear-resistant lining material designed for coal storage and transportation. The core material is ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Its core value lies in using the low friction coefficient and high wear resistance of polymer materials to solve the common problems of coal bunker blocking, sticking and wear, and improve coal transportation efficiency.

Why do coal bunkers need polymer linings?

Traditional coal bunkers (such as concrete bunkers and steel bunkers) often have the following problems during use due to the stickiness, humidity and impact of coal:

  • Blockage: Coal accumulates on the bunker wall, resulting in poor material discharge, requiring manual cleaning, and posing a safety hazard.
  • Wear: Coal particles scour the bunker wall for a long time, causing the bunker body to become thinner and shortening its service life.
  • High energy consumption: The friction resistance between the material and the bunker wall is large, increasing the energy consumption of the conveying equipment.

Functions of Okey polymer lining

1. Anti-sticking: The polymer lining reduces the adhesion of coal mud and wet coal through a low-friction surface, and is especially suitable for storing lignite and bituminous coal with high water content.

2. Anti-wear: The polymer lining can easily cope with the friction loss when coal blocks fall and slide, extending the maintenance cycle of the coal bunker. Traditional steel plate linings need to be replaced every 1-2 years, while polymer linings can be used for 5-10 years.

3. Noise reduction: The polymer lining of the coal bunker can absorb the impact noise of coal blocks and improve the working environment. Noise can be reduced by 20-30 decibels.
