Then, a contrasting HDPE color is extruded on both sides. This process is done when the plastic is still molten, and the result is a homogeneous sheet that will not delaminate, crack or chip like other laminate sign materials. Also, it contains a UV stabilizer that ensures that the material will not fade or deteriorate after prolonged exposure outdoors, and it is easily cleaned, scratch resistant, and graffiti resistant.

Sign board is manufactured by extruding one color on the inside and a contrasting color on the outside. The layers are combined while the material is still molten. The result is a homogenous sheet that is guaranteed not to delaminate, crack or chip. Sign board is superior to other sign materials, which are separate layers of material laminated together. Sign board is easily routed or engraved using current CNC router technology. As the skin of the material is removed by the router, the inside color shows through and, voila, a sign is easily fabricated with minimum finishing requirements. Sign board does not have to be painted because the color is embedded into the sheet. Sign board's durable textured finish resists scratches and marring. Sign board is UV stabilized to resist deterioration in harsh outdoor environments, making it the perfect signage material. These HDPE sandwich boards are made up of a combination of HDPE and LDPE plastic. We use this material for a number our own outdoor classroom products.The coloured sandwich board allows us to etch any pattern, shape, word, letter or number using our in-house CNC machine.
